On June 10th, 2023 we unveiled and dedicated the historical marker. The occasion was marked with a full-day celebration.
This event was a co-production of Fast Friday Productions, Sturdy Girl Productions, Friends of Summit Station, Lesbians Benefitting the Arts, and Girlz Rhythm and Rock Camp.
Thanks to a grant from the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University, and generous donations to the GoFundMe Campaign, tickets were FREE. Additional support was provided in part by Columbus City Council.

Friends of Summit Station marched in the 2023 Columbus Pride Parade.
On Wednesday, April 26th former patrons of the bar gathered at WOSU Public Media’s Ross Community Studio to share stories about the bar and the role it played in the lesbian, gender non-conforming, queer, and trans community across the decades.

To celebrate National Coming Out Day and LGBTQ+ History Month, we took an amazing stroll down memory lane with 4 of the featured storytellers from the documentary. Learn first hand about the courageous women (and a few guys) who were fight-the-power rabble rousers, first lovers, trailblazers and city champions of their time. We enjoyed displays and memorabilia from “back in the day,” provided by our partners at Columbus Metropolitan Library and the Gay Ohio History Inititiave (GOHI) at the Ohio History Connection.

After nearly four years of criss-crossing the country, digging through countless boxes of photos and interviewing 55 patrons and friends of Jack's/Summit Station, we are ready to share the film with the world! We are honored to permiere the film in our hometown at The Wexner Center for the Arts. Hope you will join us!
